It’s been a long time, partly because I have been busy with shoots and other photo related things and also because I have been neglecting my blog lately. Not a whole lot to report, I’ve done a couple shoots in which I’ll include photos somewhere in this post. I’ve done a little more work on my website and updated the photos some. I’ve also had another project that’s been keeping me busy, but more on that later. For now here’s a glance at some images from those shoots:

Have some more shoots lined up so I should have more photos to share and my goal is to update this a little more, though the gallery on my site will be updated indefinitely; I’ve been very adamant about that.

In other news I’ve done a couple more rolls of 120 (one that still needs to be developed) and I’ve also been looking into some new equipment, which is always exciting. If you get a chance to check out the site that would be awesome, you can get there from here!

It’s been a while, I’ve been working on a few different projects so they’ve been keeping me entertained and away from here. I’m transitioning half of my living room into a studio which will be pretty cool, should have some pics up of that when it looks a little more done. I’m also working on making a hard case for my camera and stuff out of an old suitcase. So far I’ve got the foam and the suitcase….. so I just have to measure out and cut the foam and then adhere it to the inside and I haven’t really decided what I want to do with the other side yet, I was thinking of putting some padding and fabric on some plywood as a divider and also to hold the camera equipment in the case while in transit. Maybe I’ll make some pockets or something for the other side to hold things like filters and batteries and stuff. Hmm, I’m really looking forward to getting that done.

The wife and I recently celebrated 3 years of marriage which is awesome and crazy at the same time, we’re still working on funds for our Japan trip, seriously can’t wait for that!

I have some other ventures in progress which I can post about later, next post I’ll have some photographs up and hopefully some finished projects to blab about.

Ring Light v1.0

Finished what I was working on yesterday. Made my own Ring light from scratch…. almost. It actually came out pretty awesome and I’m very pleased with the results and it cost me a total of about $16. Here’s some photo’s I took real quick as soon as I got it done…

Yeah I know it looks like an electrical hazard but it’s safe… I think. After shooting with it last night I need to adjust a few things but I’ve gotten a lot of ideas of stuff I want to try shooting with this thing, can’t wait!

I’m finally working on making something for my camera that I’ve wanted to do for a long time now. I came across the magazine article while organizing the house and got re-inspired and immediately (after work) went to the local hardware store and got all the ingredients and at the moment I’m about half-way done. I’m getting anxious but want to get this done right the first time so I will try to contain myself. It’s not that exciting really, but I’m stoked. Anyway, as soon as I get it done I’m gonna do a quick shoot and post about what it is I’m actually working on along with some photos of the final result.

Alright, back to work…….

Did a quick shoot at a friend’s metal shop in town. I put a few photos on my flickr as well as a couple below. I’d like to get back and have a little more time and shoot more, especially since I have a better idea for lighting and camera settings now.

Still editing some other pictures and I’ve got a few ideas for some other shoots. untill next time…..

I have a bunch of images I still haven’t gotten a chance to go threw and edit or anything. Things are little tight, financially speaking, so I’m working whenever I can and unfortunatly that doesn’t leave me with much time for my photography. But while at work I get a lot of ideas for new photos so I’m promising myself that those ideas will make it out of my head and onto some photopaper, and of course up here.

I am planning a road/moving trip with some friends to Colorado and I intend to take a lot of pictures. I think it’s going to be pretty awesome, that’s in a few weeks. I’ll try and get a map of our loosely-planned route up here.

Been busy….

I finally got a chance to pick up my holga pictures, it’s been crazy with the wife’s schedule and mine and our transpertation being limited to the motorbike… and 30-40 degree weather. But yeah, pictures came out cool, some really awesome, and some..eh, not so much, but that’s how it goes with film.

I did do a shoot with the wife, I’m currently in post-production with those images and then I’ll post a few up here, probably later tonight or tomorrow.

Lately I’ve been thinking about how much I’d like to get some new camera equipment, I havent gotten anything major in a while and I think I’d like to get some pro lenses and such. I can’t count on two hand how many times I’ve wished for the ability to stop down to f2.8 on a standard/zoom lens. I’ll have to work on getting some extra money for this stuff.

My car is in the shop which is usually what the wife drives to work, so the past couple of days I’ve been riding her to work on my motorbike. This morning, despite it being 40 degrees, is was beautiful. I don’t have any pics, it’s probably not a good/safe idea to pull out my phone and take a picture while I’m driving the bike, but it was just as the sun was coming up and the sky looked awesome, especially since my wife and I were together watching as we drove to her work… freezing… and in the morning rush hour traffic… but still a great ride together nonetheless.

Since the car is in the shop its making it difficult to go pick up my film from the lab across town. I’m planning on getting there to get it sometime this week. The car has taken priority, obviously, and is adding some unwanted stress, guess that’s life for you.

On a lighter note, I got this program for my computer that turns photos into fake Polaroids, it’s pretty cool. I grabbed a few pictures and threw them in there, here’s a couple samples, including one of my Holga:
